Talented sprinter Bivouac has been confirmed as Godolphin’s representative in the $15 million The Everest (1200m) on October 17th.

The dual Group 1 winner resumed in The Shorts to finish third behind fellow slot holder Classique Legend and Eduardo, after drawing wide and covering plenty of ground in the run.

Veteran jockey Glen Boss will ride Bivouac in The Everest, to reunite the pair after Boss steered Bivouac to victory in the Newmarket Handicap during the autumn.

He joins Nature Strip ($3.50), Classique Legend ($5), Gytrash ($6), Behemoth ($13), Farnan ($15), and Tofane ($17) as confirmed runners in The Everest, after it was revealed that slot holder Rothfire was injured in the Golden Rose and will be taking no further part this spring.

Fellow Godolphin runner Trekking must also be in contention for a remaining slot, after his impressive return in the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1000m) last Friday night.

Bivouac has been slashed into $11 for The Everest following the announcement.
