Talented Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott galloper Dawn Passage has drawn the inside barrier for the Saturday’s $1 million 2020 The Gong (1600m), and has also claimed early market favouritism.

The son of Dawn Approach has placed in both the Silver Eagle (1300m) and the Golden Eagle (1500m) so far this preparation, and hits The Gong third up.

Also in single figures is the in-form Purple Sector, as well as Rock, and Cascadian.

This is the second running of the new $1 million mile race, with last year’s winner Mister Sea Wolf easing in the market, out to $12.
