Raging favourite It’s Me has been passed fit to start in Saturday’s The Kosciuszko (1200m) after a health scare earlier in the week.

The undefeated galloper had coughed after swimming in a pool, prompting trainer Brett Cavanough to scope the horse, with the tests results coming back clear on Friday morning.

Racing NSW released a statement reading:

Trainer Brett Cavanough has provided Racing NSW Stewards with the results of a blood test of IT’S ME for health assessment, which returned within normal parameters and has advised an endoscopic examination performed this morning has confirmed the mare has responded well to treatment and there was no presence of mucus.

Accordingly, It’s Me has been passed suitable to start in The Kosciuszko at Royal Randwick on Saturday (17th October).

It’s Me is currently the $2.20 favourite for The Kosciuszko.
