Experienced Group 1 hoop Glen Boss has scooped up the ride on 2020 Cox Plate contender Sir Dragonet.

This comes after existing rider Hugh Bowman chose not to appeal against his 10-meeting ban he collected in the Caulfield Guineas, which means that he will be suspended for Cox Plate Day.

Owner Ozzie Kheir spoke to racing.com and confirmed the appointment of Glen Boss.

Sir Dragonet is currently in the fourth line of betting for the Cox Plate at $9 in the market.

The import is currently serving quarantine at Werribee, and is set to head to the Maher and Eustace stables on Saturday ahead of the October 24th Cox Plate.
