2020 Cox Plate internationals Armory and Magic Wand have shown signs of lameness and must be re-examined by vets on Friday, according to a statement made by Racing Victoria.

“Magic Wand presented with lameness in her right fore limb while Armory presented with a degree of lameness in his left fore limb,” the statement reads.

The highly-rated duo will be re-examined by vets on Friday to deem if they are fit to start in Saturday’s 2020 Cox Plate.

Racing Victoria will provide a further update on Friday following the re-inspections, that will be conducted by a panel of three veterinarians.

Armory is currently the $5.50 equal second favourite for the race, with Magic Wand a $27 chance.
