The final field of 16 is locked in for Saturday’s Group 1 2020 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington.

There is an interesting mix of runners lining up, including lots of stayers who are set for bigger things later in the spring, with Danny O’Brien’s Russian Camelot, Vow And Declare, and Miami Bound all in this category.

The early favourite is Russian Camelot, who has opened at $3.70, and has drawn out in barrier 14.

Also prominent in the market are those with fitness edges, with Fierce Impact ($6), Perfect Jewel ($6.50), Dalasan ($7.50), and Kings Will Dream ($9.50) the other runners in single figures.

Cups hope Master Of Wine is at $10, and has drawn barrier 10, next to 2019 Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare ($41) in barrier 11.

Last year’s winner Gatting is unwanted by the market at $51, after the outsider took out the 2019 edition at a whopping $101 starting price.

Watch: Gatting take out last year’s Makybe Diva Stakes.
