Tours at Wardan
At Wardan Aboriginal Centre you can participate in a range of cultural tours, each designed to appeal to a diverse range of age groups, each activity has been carefully structured to engage visitors and bring about a greater understanding of the historical, social and environmental issues affecting Indigenous Australians.
The Six Season Display
Take a fascinating journey back in time and discover how the Aboriginals met their needs from nature in a sustainable way for thousands of years. Learn about the important elements of the Wardandi peoples day to day lives, rituals and beliefs. This unique display features interactive displays and Wardandi artefacts.
Stone Toolmaking Workshop
Using traditional materials gathered from the surrounding bushland, you will learn how to make a Wardandi knife (traditional name). You will discover how to make bush glue from kangaroo dung and sap from trees, you can even take home your own Wardandi knife.

Bush Story Trail
This is an easy one km walk trail where there are Jarrah, Sheoak and Banksia trees and an assortment of plants that were of importance to the Aboriginal peolple. Some traditional structures (mia-mia) have also been built. Accompanied by an Aboriginal guide, you can learn about the Wardandi People’s connection to the land, their history, bush tucker and shelter.

Boomerang and Spear Throwing Classes
Be a part of this fun, interactive experience. Learn how to throw a boomerang and have it come back to you. On this tour you will also learn traditional spearmaking skills and discover intriguing stories about Wardandi lore and customs.
